Infrared vs traditional sauna
An infrared sauna warms your body directly at 45–70°C for long, gentle sessions. A traditional sauna heats the air to 80–110°C with steam for short, intense rounds. Here is how to choose for a UAE home.

Choose infrared if…
- You want to use your sauna most days with minimal upkeep.
- You prefer a gentler heat and longer sessions.
- You live in an apartment or want the lowest running cost.
Choose traditional if…
- You love the heat and steam of a Finnish sauna or a spa.
- You plan hot–cold contrast sessions with a pool or cold plunge.
- Short, intense sessions suit your routine.
Choose a hybrid if…
Your household is split, or you want red light therapy and steam in the same cabin. Run infrared on weekdays and fire the stove at weekends.
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or take medication, check with your doctor before using any sauna.

Is an infrared sauna better than a traditional sauna?
Neither is better overall. Infrared suits frequent, longer, gentler sessions with low running cost and no steam. Traditional suits short, intense sessions with steam and the classic Finnish ritual.
Which uses less electricity?
Infrared. Our infrared cabins draw 1.8–3.3 kW against 4.5 kW for our standard traditional heater, and infrared sessions need less preheating.
Can I have both?
Yes. Signature hybrid saunas combine a Harvia stove and infrared panels in one cabin, so you choose the heat per session.
