What drives the price
- Heat type. Infrared panels cost less than a Harvia stove system; hybrids include both.
- Size. More people means more timber, glass and heating output.
- Indoor or outdoor. Outdoor cabins need weather-ready construction and usually cost more.
- Glass and finish. Curved glass, charcoal frames, salt walls and star ceilings add to the build.
Costs to check before you buy
- Power. Most cabins run on 220V. Large hybrids need three-phase, which may mean a dedicated circuit.
- Base. Outdoor saunas need a level, load-bearing surface.
- Shade. A pergola or shade roof helps outdoor timber in summer.
- Approvals. Some communities ask for approval for garden structures.
